ENERGIES OF THE EARTH
Searching for ways to give form to the invisible through lumen prints. These works are part of a collection of work titled Energies of Earth. I have been using light sensitive chemicals, the Cyanotype process and dark room processes to explore the connection between ourselves and the magic of light & sound.
Ellen Barratt is an artist who experiments with light through photographic processes and installation. Her work explores the interplay between light, space, and perception. Through a multidisciplinary and multi-sensory body of work, she creates immersive installations and conceptual prints. Light intrigues her as it balances on the edge of materiality, naturally transitioning from visible to invisible. Following her studies at Chelsea College of Art, London, Ellen moved to Macclesfield where she is currently based and works.
